Item Details
This is a superb quality antique rosewood Victorian double-ended upholstered settee, circa 1850. At this time, England was importing the best quality timber from its colonies. The frame and shaped legs are constructed of solid rosewood. The frame features attractive up-swept arms with a pretty shaped serpentine front and two lovely arched down swept double ends, with a wonderful show frame which stand on sturdy cabriole legs. The frame is upholstered in a plum draylon material and features a deep buttoned upholstered back. The couch has a firm sprung base. The settee seats 2 –4 persons. The upholstery is in good clean odour free condition.
We can arrange a re upholstery service should this be required and estimate the labour cost to be around the £350 range plus the cost of the fabric
