Item Details
A fine Early Victorian plum pudding mahogany double wardrobe, dating from the mid-19th century, offering excellent quality, attractive figuring, and practical storage.
Constructed in richly figured plum pudding mahogany, the wardrobe is surmounted by a moulded cornice above a pair of panelled doors with carved scroll mouldings. The recently lined interior is fitted with hanging space and drawers, providing versatile storage while retaining its period character.
The wardrobe retains its original working lock and key and is of particularly practical design, dismantling into two main sections together with the plinth and cornice, making transportation and installation considerably easier than many wardrobes of this size.
The mahogany displays a lovely warm colour and patina with beautifully figured veneers throughout.
A handsome and practical Early Victorian wardrobe, ideal for a period home, country house, or traditional interior.
