A Victorian carved oak Green man hall tree. Very ornate and quality hand carved oak with a circular bevelled edge mirror. With six original iron hooks. Below the mirror there is a drawer to store gloves or keys. To each side there umbrella storage compartments complete with original drip trays to the base. The drawer front has a wonderful detailed carved green man motif that refers to a symbol of rebirth or the cycle of growth, and also features leaves and foliage detail. The construction of solid English oak provides a sturdy and richly textured back drop for the carving detail. A wonderful addition to any hall way and a great conversation piece.
