Large Mahogany Partners Desk

Large mahogany partners desk (circa 1920) with Provenance: The desk was once owned by Sir Maurice Hodgson (British 1919-2014) He was most famous for being the chairman of chemical giant ICI from 1978-1982. He was also chairman of British Home Stores (Bhs) and Dunlop. The desk is great quality with a good colour and grain. It has nine drawers to one side with cupboards and drawers on the opposing side. All drawers have fine hand dovetail joints and all slide as they should, there is a key that fits all drawer locks. The apposing side has two cupboards that have wonderful flame mahogany panelled fronts and supplied with a key for the locks. The top has a very good quality leather insert with gold tooling . Overall a very impressive quality large partners desk.
