On offer for sale is this fine quality Napoleon III walnut bonheur du jour desk. The desk is a large practical size and has a wonderful burl walnut grain and has a fantastic golden walnut antique patina ,it has a black distressed leather cloth writing insert with six drawers to the top and a further four drawers to the base standing on wonderful turned legs. There are several keys that come with the desk as supplied from the previous owner none work the locks but do assist in opening the drawers .

The desk does have signs of historical woodworm that has been treated many years ago and is no longer live. This does not affect the superstructure or function of the desk and just adds character to this wonderful rare antique.
