Burr Walnut Queen Anne Style Side Table

A very attractive early 20th-century Queen Anne style side table, dating to circa 1920 and displaying particularly well-figured burr walnut veneers. The shaped rectangular top is surmounted by a decorative raised back with a finely carved central crest, above two frieze drawers retaining decorative brass handles. The drawer fronts and sides are particularly well figured, The table is raised on elegant cabriole legs, extensively carved to the knees and terminating in scroll feet. A finely carved shaped apron with scrolling foliage and a central floral motif completes the design. A particularly decorative and useful table, with the rich figuring of the walnut and quality of the carving giving it considerable presence.
